graceGRACE. You may have heard me talk about this over the last years. Because it’s the great LIGHT by which I’ve lived, for some time, even – no, ESPECIALLY – when things are not easy.

It’s the key to LOVING, accepting and growing Our Selves.

The key to nurturing and advancing ALL of our relationships.

As well as the key to flowing easier with the stresses and strains of Life.

And as you look to the next moments of connecting with Your Self, Your Loved Ones and Your World, I think this is the best thing I can share with you.

So, sit back, relax, and read on for some quality relief and joy…

What is GRACE?

It’s actually very hard to define, and very easy to FEEL.

I will try to explain it in words, but they will surely fall short. Still, I think you might understand…

Grace can be any of the following (and more):

  • LOVE, patience, understanding for Your Self and Others
  • BREATH, pause, stillness in between your daily activities and challenges
  • TRUST, that crazy as things are, they WILL come together, even if differently than you expect
  • FLOW, within all the uncertainty, anxiety, change, around you
  • BEAUTY, in the glorious gifts (especially small) that surround us all
  • RELIEF, however basic, in the worst and best of times

Why is GRACE important?

In short: because it makes this Life worth living and enjoying.

In between your waiting for the next weekend, vacation, success…Grace is the little reprieves, joys, comforts that are there to nurture you.

It’s the small flame of light, or many lights, even when you’re suffering and forgetting that joy is your birthright.

You will not always feel it, but you CAN always find it.

If you’re willing to look.

And THAT is the KEY…

Are you willing to look for and connect with your daily Grace?

Because it IS always there for you…whether you sense it or not.

And others ARE trying to give it to you if you let them.

But you will only reap its benefits, if you’re willing to see it…from a place of true gratitude, NOT obligation.

Let me give you some examples…

You’re suffering with your health, but you have a good night’s rest, or a nice meal, or a friend or loved ones who shows you kindness. That is Grace.

Your work or business isn’t going as you want, you’re worried and afraid, but the warm bed and your pet’s love, reminds you that you’re still blessed.

You’re struggling with your child, partner, or any other important person in your life…but you connect with a bit of nature or some simple creative activity (cooking for example!) and you remember how YOU have many gifts that can bring you joy, and to others.

As someone struggling with an auto-immune illness that hits me hard 7-10 days every month, I’ve become that much more attune to the present, the Grace around me all the time, and the gift of when I recover after each episode.

I keep saying, “I’m the Phoenix rising from the ashes each month!”…

And I no longer hate it, resent it, reject it.

I CHOOSE to see it as a moment in my life that presents its challenges, but also, in a curious way, its gifts.

And it has some purpose I believe. That I’m trying to figure out and live with, until I resolve it.

As part of my own Grace.

What is GRACE?

We hug and kiss each other a lot here, in our beloved home.

With my husband, our beloved pups, our loved ones in person or mostly still remotely (as we’re a truly global family).

We nurture the things that make us feel free, joyful, playful, simple as they are.

We stop and disconnect, even when it seems impossible, but we INSIST ON IT!

There’s a reason that’s in capital letters.

Because stopping is by no mean easy for us, personally and professionally.

But we’ve learned that if we don’t insist on it, we lose SO VERY MUCH along the way.

Even if, most times, it’s just for a few minutes.

Do you know that a good hug or a kiss lasts a mere 5 seconds. At most.

And a good laugh, about the same.

But its goodness, lasts the whole day.

I honor all of you and send you blessings from the very bottom of my heart.

You ALL so deserve it.

And know that this one person is sending them to you.

Because LOVE costs nothing, when freely and lovingly given.

But pain, anger, jealousy, guilt, shame, anxiety, fear, and the like…cost SO MUCH.

Yet we all have to experience such things, because it’s a part of daily human life.

I get upset sometimes, about little and big things, and it hurts. But it has to happen FIRST, so that afterwards, I can sift through those ashes and CHOOSE, how do I want to interpret this for the long run, and how do I TRULY wish to respond to it.

For my benefit, and for the benefit of the others.

Grace is what you choose to inject into the equation.

What you’re willing to take when it’s given, even when it might be hard to notice.

But if you choose to see it, honor it, and hopefully give it back…it will carry you through your day…and perhaps even longer.

Once the “muscle” of Grace is recognized, fine-tuned, and nurtured, you will find it ever more, day by day.

I know…because it’s become the KEY relief, gratitude and joy, in our day to day.

Even – but especially – when we’re feeling off.

So how do you get started?

For just a brief moment, forget convention, judgment, pressure, the next thing you think you have to do…

…and BREATH.

…honor your presence in this world.

…and ask yourself: “What small, beautiful, relieving gift is Life giving me RIGHT NOW?”

Even better:

“How would I feel if for just one day – one MOMENT – I accepted MySelf and Life, just as it is right now and let go of my suffering?”

You won’t regret it.

On the contrary, you might get hooked.

Like we have.

I am sending you all SO MUCH GRACE.

Enjoy the coming season with the Grace that already surrounds you.

And perhaps, that you’re willing to give.
